So really, Obelisk is just one of those cards that help stall a duel, and isn't really necessary for most decks.

Raigeki Break targets so it cannot destroy Obelisk. Raigeki does not so it can. Easy one with this, just try and get a monster on the field that has more than ATK use Giant Trunade before, so that you opponent has nothing to activate, but may try and negate the effect of the Trunade though.

Grand Mole, D. The Wicked Dreadroot's effect doesnt target, so get him on the field and he'll cut all monsters but himself in half. Lets see if Obelisk can beat him then. Try cards like Machine type monsters with Limiter Removal.
